Why Battle Abbey School?

100 Years of Education, 1000 Years of History. There is simply no other place like it.

Founded in 1912, Battle Abbey School has been providing personalised education for curious minds for over 100 years. We are based in the idyllic Sussex town of Battle, just a five minute walk from the mainline station.

The school is within the grounds of the historic Battle Abbey ruins – themselves built upon the site of the Battle of Hastings. Every day, students can walk the grounds with their commanding views over the very battlefield where William defeated Harold in 1066.

There is simply no other place like it.
